We have a new addition to our team, my brother Nathan. Unfortunately he won't be able to physically join us this week but he is thinking about us all and wishes us all the best of luck in our upcoming adventure. For those of you who don't know Nathan, he is a Captain in the Air Force and is currently stationed in Yokota, Japan. He tried to make it home for Luke's funeral but unfortunately was unable to get here in time. Nathan like all of us loved Luke and has been deeply saddened by his death. He thinks of Luke often and wishes desperately that he could be here to join us in the Relay.
Last night upon checking my mail, to my surprise I found a package from Nathan which included a couple of posters and a CD with a sticky note that said, "Claire, Please let others view both the letter and the video prior to your relay race ... Good luck! Love Nathan"
Nathan wanted to do something in memory of Luke as well and so he and some of his squadron buddies decided to do an adventure of their own. The video and letter below are Nathan's gift of encouragement to us all. While it may bring tears to your eyes, I hope that you enjoy it as much as I do and may it inspire us all to live a life full of love and excitement for one another and our friend, cousin, nephew, brother, son and grandson, Luke!
Here is a link to the letter that Nathan wrote to us all. Please read it as it is insperational in itself!

Nathan sent us the signs that they carried to the top of Mt. Fuji so we will bring those with us on our journey as well! Viewing the video at this scale does not do it justice so if anyone would like a copy burned to a CD, please let me know!
Thanks Nathan! We love you!!!Much love to you all!

What a great tribute. Thank you Nathan
Nathan,
This was wonderful. Thank you for making the journey and sharing it with us. It really touched me. We will think of you as each of us run our leg and know that you have already finished yours.

What a wonderful gesture! I'm sure that will motivate even more as you go through the event.
This is an amazing inspiration. The sunrise looked amazing on the video, I can only imagine how vivid the colors were in person. Thanks Nate!

Nate & his buddies TeamLuke was inspiring along with your Colorado relay event ! We hiked in Tahoe last week and as we climbed Heavenly & Mt Tallac we kept TeamLuke with us. Luke's constant spirit keeps his vast family & friends going.
We look forward to hikes with your folks very soon -
wish you all could come along too !
We miss everyone so much - we'll get together again soon.
Love, Jude
